Working on my Adobe Photoshop Cs5 skills in Digital Photography class. Here's a shot I was messing with various selection tools and curves to improve.

Sometimes-i-am-slacking...

Hey all. I have been majorly slacking on my photo posting over here, but hopefully I can make time to get this blog back up and running. I have still been taking tons of photos and playing with my beloved Canon, but I have been failing at sharing that action with you. I am, however, taking a digital photography course this semester, so hopefully that will not only help me to improve in general, but motivate me to want to share more with you.

Various Views of the Sky Down on the Farm...

I love green plants contrasting with a clear blue sky.

God knows how to mix and color block like no one else.

*shots taken on my grandparents farm. And yes, I was laying on the ground in the middle of a corn field to take these shots. I don't mess around.

Dead people all around! Dead people for everyone!

Summary of Shakespearean tragedy: everyone, good and bad and in between winds up dead, therefore you wind up looking at life pessimistically while you're still alive and sitting in the audience.

That is more or less how it goes, people.

Where's your focus?

I find this shot to be interesting. It is wrong in every possible way but...for some reason it intrigues me. I was testing lighting on my camera, but didn't I realize I was catching myself as I did so. This resulted in a perfectly in-focus tree and and a very completely out-of-focus me.

Hmm. Sometimes accidents are interesting.

Know what else is interesting? While I was doing this I locked myself out of my car for the first time in my life. Good times, y'all.

Why do people hate Shakespeare?

The middle school/high school performers Backyard Shakespeare perform of Romeo and Juliet.

All the performers did an awesome job. Shakespeare really isn't as bad as people make it out to be... (just for fun, for those of you who THINK you don't know or care about Shakespeare, here are lists of words and phrases that you might use on a regular basis, originally coined by...you guessed it! My man, Will Shakespeare.)
